About Jessica Mcgrath, APRN

My career began as a registered nurse in 1991. I have provided care for patients of all ages and with many health care needs. After 20 years of being a nurse, I returned to school to become a family nurse practitioner. As a FNP I was most attracted to caring for those with mental health concerns. This lead to obtaining a post masters in psych-mental health nursing and becoming a psych-mental health NP in 2019. As a NP I have worked at 3 inpatient psychiatric hospitals, 2 out-patient integrated (primary care and psychiatry) clinics, and a department of corrections. I have cared for patients of all ages, gender identities, with many different mental health symptoms and diagnoses. My experience includes treating patients with mood disorders (major depression, bipolar disorder), psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, post-traumatic stress disorder, and substance use disorders. I get to know my patients over time. We work together to seek wellness.
