First I am a family physician and have known Dr Konecny for years as he has been involved in an academic training program with me. I was attracted to his practice for my “Menopause-Abdominoplasty” because he offers aesthetic proceShow moredures under local anesthesia - this means quicker recovery. Now for the experience: he has assembled a warm and very down to earth team. Estia facility is very clean and accessible with the feel of being taken care of by family members. I was able to leave my car overnight. I was given a nice cocktail of medications and completely comfortable throughout. He let me choose the music ;-) Dr Konecny has a good eye and went the extra mile during the procedure and pulled extra fat from my lower posterior flanks to make sure I had the best visual outcome. He also spent the extensive extra time to stitch, rather than staple close, which leaves a much nicer scar. After a short post op rest, I took an uber home, I was able to walk to the pharmacy in my neighborhood afterward (I foolishly didn’t pick up my RX prior to procedure) and was able to attend an awards for my son that night. Dr. Konecny began his professional pursuits at the University of California, Irvine, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following graduation, he decided to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Konecny enrolled at the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, and obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
Before entering private practice, Dr. Konecny completed a three-year fellowship in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Hills, New Jersey. He completed a rotating internship at Pacific Hospital in Long Beach, California, and a residency in general surgery at Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway, New York. Dr. Konecny excelled, earning the title of chief resident.
