About Mr. Joel Hamaguchi, PA-C

Joel Hamaguchi joined Medicine Pediatrics Associates in 2014. He completed three years of physician assistant training at the Yale University School of Medicine, graduating with a Masters of Medical Science. He is a certified physician assistant. A physician assistant is a nationally certified and state licensed medical professional who practices medicine on healthcare teams with physicians and other providers.

Joel enables Dr. Salle to extend her services by offering flexible appointment times and increased availability for follow-up/urgent encounters. Joel regularly collaborates with Dr. Salle for the care he provides. As a patient, you will always have the right to choose to be seen by Dr. Salle or Joel. Joel's education and medical training offer increased access to the care provided by Dr. Salle and Medicine Pediatrics Associates.

Common question: “How do you address a physician assistant; should I call them “Dr.”? Answer: “Mr. Hamaguchi” or “Joel” is best.

Joel moved back to Hawaii with his wife in the spring of 2014, and welcomed his first son in the summer. Joel grew up in Mililani and graduated from Iolani School in 2001. In 2018 he welcomed his second son.
