I had my 3 month follow up appointment with Dr. Devine yesterday. Other than being thrilled with the results of my surgery with everything working so much better than before, I’m sad that I won’t get to see Dr Devine anymore. HeShow more was truly the most attentive, caring and honest physician I’ve ever encountered in my 68 years of life! With vaginal prolapses making my life quite miserable, I’m back to feeling like I can do almost anything again. No longer worried about finding my next ‘pit stop’ when I’m out and about, I’ve been able to go 3-5 hours during the day without needing a facility. Slowly getting back into a nice exercise routine and not feeling that ‘bulge’ is truly amazing. Dr Devine was my second urogynocologist for a consult. I’m so very grateful I bypassed the first as I’m sure the outcome would never have been as perfect as this one! I will forever be indebted to Dr Devine for his brilliant abilities and genuine concern for his patients. You should have absolutely no concerns when seeing him, he is simply THE BEST❤️❤️❤️.
I loved this practice from the minute I walked in the door! I was greeted immediately, by name, and the receptionist was patient when I said I thought I’d already completed my paperwork online. (Apparently I hadn’t) I was given thShow moree paperwork and didn’t feel rushed at all while completing it. Dr Devine’s nurse was delightfully pleasant, as was his assistant, Bree. Dr Devine was engaging from the moment he walked into the exam room! He was patient and thorough and addressed all of my questions and concerns, as well as a few I hadn’t thought to mention. He explained breast self-examinations in a way I hadn’t been told of before, and ordered my mammogram at the facility I requested (RAVE) Dr Devine even took the time to find the local pharmacy that offers the least expensive pricing on one of my more costly medications. In a time when medical professionals tend to be overworked and overwhelmed, everyone at this practice was friendly, attentive and relaxed. I’d give Dr Devine and his staff more than 5 stars if I could!
Dr. Devine received his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He then completed a four-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Akron General Medical Center in Ohio. It was during his residency that he developed his passion for the field of urogynecology. Following his residency training, Dr. Devine was honored to be accepted into the Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship Program at the University of California Irvine, under the directorship of Donald Ostergard, MD, a world-renowned urogynecologist.
Upon completion of his three-year fellowship, he returned to Akron, Ohio, and started the Northeast Ohio Urogynecology and Continence Center. In 2015 Dr. Devine brought his specialized training to the Venice, Florida, area to fill the need for a fellowship-trained urogynecologist in this community.
Dr. Devine is a staff member and attending physician in the Departments of Gynecology at Doctor's Hospital of Sarasota and both Sarasota Memorial Hospital locations.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American Urogynecologic Society and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

I would highly recommend Dr. Devine. He is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain things in detail. Including my prescription. One if the best Dr. I've been to in a long time. Very humble person with a wonderful staff. .
I was very pleased with Dr. Devine’s assessment of my issues and his professionalism. I haven’t been to a gynecologist for years because I was so disappointed in their ability to address my concerns.
Dr Devine is very thorough. He listened to my concerns and asked questions. He genuinely cares about his patients. He explained what he thought my problem was and what he would be doing today. When I left the office I felt good about my treatment. I would highly recommend him to others.
Other then having to wait for over 35 minutes, Dr. Devine addressed my concerns and offered alternate options I would not have been aware of without his help.
Dr. Devine is very caring and thorough. He explains everything completely and is a very good surgeon.

I can’t say enough about Dr.John Devine and his staff..He took over an hour to talk to me & my son.I am 72 and I get confused sometimes.He explained what was going on with my concerns.He asked me many questions that I never would have thought to tell him about.I think I might have waited 10 minutes to be seen..I previously went to a different urologist.I waited 2 1/2hrs to be seen.He talked to me for 2 minutes & told me I needed a procedure which included sedation.I trusted my gut and never made an appointment for the procedure.Needless to say I highly recommend Dr.John Devine.I did not have to have any procedure that included sedation...Dr. Devine took care of my problem.No other appointments needed.. Thank you Dr. Devine P.S. HE IS VERY NICE & KIND☺️
Dr. Devine is the best doctor I have ever had and that any type of doctor!! He takes the time to listen to you and explains everything!! He is very knowledgeable, kind and caring!! He did my surgery for a prolapsed bladder and a herniated bowel. The first 2 weeks of recovery were pretty rough, but Dr. Devine saw me twice during those first two weeks. He did everything he could to assure me that everything was fine, and he also gave me some strong pain meds to help me manage my pain! I would recommend him in the highest way possible!! His nurses were really nice and supportive!! The office staff was great too!! I’m so sorry that I had to say goodbye to Dr. Devine and his entire staff this past Monday because it was my final visit!!
I had a great first visit. Everyone in the office was so friendly. I did not feel rushed at all talking to Dr. Devine. I was looking for a doctor that would listen completely to my concerns and explain everything. Dr. Devine did both. He spent over 30 minutes with me discussing everything. I left having a better understanding of my issues. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends.

A wonderful Doctor and kind and caring office staff.
After having a hysterectomy I received multiple treatments of Antibiotics for UtI after taking them over a long period of time other issues occured. No one seemed to get to the source of the problem! Someone recommended Dr.Devine to me.. in one visit he got to the source. I have been antibiotic free and UTI free for about two years now. I am so thankful!!... he explains things in layman terms as well .So I will do the same and gladly recommend Dr.Devine! As I am So so grateful !!
