Eric Gee, MD, is a fellowship-trained and board-certified spine surgeon with the orthopedic surgery team at Valdosta Orthopedic Associates in Valdosta, Georgia. He specializes in invasive and non-invasive surgery of the back, neck, and spine, as well as fracture care.
Dr. Gee was born in Valdosta, Georgia, and received his Bachelor of Science from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, graduating top of his class and magna cum laude in 1997. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Virginia, graduating with honors in 2002. He completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in 2003 and 2007, respectively. Afterward, he completed a fellowship in orthopedic spine surgery at the Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa, Florida, in 2008. Dr. Gee received his board certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 2010.
Dr. Gee is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, as well as the North American Spine Society, Southern Orthopedic Association, and AO Spine International. He has been an active serviceman in the US Navy, accomplishing the rank of Lieutenant Commander of the United States Naval Reserve.
His specialty includes performing the intricacies of spinal surgery. His cutting-edge techniques have earned him his rank in the spine care community, where his cervical and lumbar fusions, transforaminal epidurals, and laminectomies have proven successfully distinguishable.
Dr. Gee is married to Dr. Stephanie Gee. They have three children named Lauren, Will, and Alex. He enjoys spending time with his family, martial arts, and long-distance running.
