Great office visit. Friendly staff. I live 2.5 hours from there. When I am choking,, pills getting stuck in my throat and water coming out of my nose, I think it is ridiculous to drive that far to check my blood pressure, weight aShow morend breathe out and in. I have had this procedure done since the late 90's. I know when my esophagus needs stretching. I think the procedure could have been scheduled over the phone. I also was referred by another doctor. I was exposed to covid so I canceled my first appointment. Then I had bronchitis for a month. When I tried to reschedule my appointment, I was told I needed another referral. It has been 3 months and I will have it done June 27. In the meantime, I am choking, vomiting and a sip of water may come out of my nose. I have high level anxiety. I eat once a day and drink very little. I think I may choke to death. I think once a patient calls, the process should be smoother and faster. I do like the care ONCE I get in.
I did not see Dr.Kim I was there for an appointment for 1 hour and 15 minutes and never see a doctor, PA or nurse. I chose to leave I feel like this is not the doctor for me. When you over book to the point that your patients are Show morenot seen in a timely manner it makes me uneasy about the care you will provide me. I arrived at 2:45pm and left the office at 4:00pm. When I left the waiting room still had 7 patients still waiting. If I were to arrive an hour past my appointment time they would not have seen me. The front office staff were very nice I have nothing bad to say about this doctor or his office staff I have just made it a priority in my health care to not deal with doctors who over schedule patients my opinion is that that leads to poor care in the long run for patients.
Joseph Kim, MD, is a dual certified physician in internal medicine and gastroenterology at North Texas Gastroenterology Associates PLLC, a gastroenterology and hepatology practice that has locations in Sherman and McKinney, Texas.
Dr. Kim completed his undergraduate studies at Haverford College, where he majored in Biology. He then went on to study at Temple University School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine in 2007. Dr. Kim completed his internal medicine residency at Temple University Hospital in 2010 and his gastroenterology fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in 2013. He underwent an additional year of training in advanced endoscopy under the mentorship of world-renowned endoscopist, Dr. David Carr-Locke, MD, FRCP, FASGE, FACG. Dr. Kim is well-published in gastroenterology literature and has authored two book chapters.
When he is not practicing medicine, he enjoys playing golf, playing guitar, and expanding his culinary repertoire.

Dr. Kim listened gave me options for what is going on. He didn’t just run in and go. I know what it is let’s do this this and this he listen to me so that I can explain to him what I thought was going on since I’m old and I’ve known my body for a while, and he was very very intuitive and smart and I like him. So we got a couple plans going on when is next week and then when I’m at home so I’ll see how it goes good front desk also

I appreciate how Dr Kim listened to me and addressed my stomach/pancreas ailments/symptoms. He started right away with analysis and scans to get to the bottom of the problem. Very much appreciated since I've been struggling for quite some time now.

Dr. Kim was great. Very accommodating, understandable. He asked great questions and spent time explaining my situation along with the procedure. He and Brittany were fantastic!
Had 1 hour wait after my appointment time to see the doctor. When asked about it taking so long was told he had an emergency. It would have been nice if someone would have told me that when I checked in.
