I walked into the reception area and was greeted by friendly people. As soon as I sat down my name was called and off I went to see the Dr. I went over health history and the reason I was there with them before Dr. Kelly KantartziShow mores came in. She did a checkup and when finished asked me to come to her office to discuss her findings. She made me feel very comfortable and she explained everything so I would understand. She had a cut out of a woman’s uterus to show and tell what she found. I’ve never had such a thorough explanation by a Dr! She actually had a conversation with me and took the time to make sure I understood and agreed with everything we discussed. Dr. Kantartzis is probably one of the best doctors I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend this Dr and this office. Very pleasant experience!
I was looking for a dr to perform surgical repair for a pelvic prolapse. There were many choices online but I found that there were ALOT of 5 star ratings for dr K @ Women's Center for Pelvic Surgery. After meeting with dr K, I Show moream confident this was the Best Choice I could have made! Walking into the lobby, I felt like I was checking into a luxury hotel, definitely made me feel welcome & comfortable. The staff was very kind & welcoming. Dr K was very kind, compassionate, & explained all things in a very clear & honest way. I was made to feel comfortable & all aspects of the procedures were explained in a clear way to me. I feel confident in the dr. & her skill & her abilities, I will be proceeding with the surgery.
About Dr. Kelly Kantartzis
Kelly Kantartzis, MD, MS, FACOG is a board-certified female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgeon (FPMRS) and board-certified gynecologist serving the Phoenix-area community in Mesa, Arizona, at The Woman’s Center. She specializes in minimally invasive surgical approaches to prolapse and incontinence repair.
A native of Toledo, Ohio, Dr. Kantartzis moved around the country before settling down in western Pennsylvania, where she attended the Pennsylvania State University. After graduating magna cum laude with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology in the school’s honors program, Dr. Kantartzis enrolled in medical school at The University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Kantartzis has always been interested in women’s health, and after graduating from medical school, she completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Magee-Womens Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. During her residency, Dr. Kantartzis’ passion for minimally invasive pelvic floor surgery grew, so it came as no surprise when she was selected twice as the resident with the best laparoscopic skill set.
After her residency, Dr. Kantartzis stayed at Magee-Womens Hospital to complete a pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery fellowship, and she trained in complicated vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic approaches to the management of pelvic floor disorders from leaders in the urogynecology field. While in fellowship, Dr. Kantartzis obtained a clinical research master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh to better serve her patients and help improve their outcomes for pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence.
Dr. Kantartzis is a clinical assistant professor for the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix, where she teaches residents and medical students.
In her free time, Dr. Kantartzis is very busy raising her two daughters with her husband, Stamatis. She enjoys fitness, being outdoors, and relaxing with her family.
