Dr. Sellberg was wonderful - listened to my concerns and ordered tests. The office staff was some of the rudest people I have ever encountered! The "greeter" does not greet you. I had to stand there for a minute before she made eShow moreye contact and she said "Do you have an appointment?" Not much wrong with what she said but NO MASK & no smile. The person that does scheduling was sarcastic and almost refused to schedule the same day heart monitoring that Dr. Sellberg wanted me to do- and said I could come in 3 weeks from now. I was about to give up when I said "could we ask Dr. Sellberg if that is ok or if I should do it today like she told me?" The scheduler asked a few more times "did she say STAT?"type checkins and I said "if you don't believe me you can ask the doctor". Suddenly she was able to schedule me. Also they claim that you need to wear a mask in the place but they don't enforce it! Tons of elderly people unmasked and nurse that did my EKG was also unmasked. If you are not willing to keep me safe don't make the claims that "everyone must wear a mask".
Dr Banna quite littered saved my live. I picked up a MRSA infection somewhere that settled in my heart. It chewed up a valve and when the valve started coming apart, it caused several strokes. I was being treated for the infectionShow more and had heart surgery scheduled for several day later when a massive part of the valve came off in the middle of the night, causing a massive stroke. Dr Banna was the doctor on call. He spent 5 hours with me in the surgery department of Banner Thunderbird hospital. He would not leave my side. After coming out of the hospital 45 days later, I made the choice to keep him as my cardiologist. He rocks. He genuinely cares. I have had to have an ablation, had multiple tests he has steered my through. Best part is I am still here and doing very well.
Kristine Sellberg, MD, FACC, is an accomplished and affable cardiologist. She’s a proud member of the team of renowned physicians at Phoenix Heart, which has locations across the greater Phoenix area – Glendale, Goodyear, Anthem, Buckeye, Laveen, Cottonwood, and Black Canyon City, Arizona.
Dr. Sellberg earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. She finished her medical training in Phoenix with a residency in internal medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center and the Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, where she completed a second fellowship in interventional cardiology. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
In addition to her practice at Phoenix Heart, Dr. Sellberg is quite active in the cardiology community. Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, Arizona, counts her as a member-at-large of their medical executive committee and a member of their professional review committee. She also serves as the medical director of cardiac rehabilitation at Abrazo West Campus hospital in Goodyear, Arizona. She’s also a member of the American Heart Association and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Doctor Sellberg has been my cardiologist for the past five years, and I'm so glad that she is. She is always very concerned about my heart health, and is very good at making me feel comfortable in her office; I know she and all the employees at Phoenix Heart do their best for me and all of their patients. Doctor Sellberg really knows what she is doing, and I'm fortunate that she's using her knowledge and experience on my behalf.
Dr Sellberg is very thorough & accommodating. I had contracted pneumonia and called to say I wouldn’t be able to make my appointment. She recommended doing a telehealth meeting.
The Dr answered all my questions Made feel very comfortable with the recommend test.
The receptionist was courteous and Dr. Sellberg listened to my concerns and recommended next steps to address my problem.
Waste of time
Dr. Selberg has been my doctor for 15 years. I had thought about moving out of the valley five years ago but I love my doctor & would never change. I have referred 2 friends to my doctor and they totally agree with me. I totally trust her with caring for me.

Dr. Gomes is excellent. I have finally seen someone that listens to me and seems determined to do something about my issue. She is very thorough, willing to work with my other doctors, very pleasant and time conscious. I didn't sit for hours waiting to be seen.

He is always direct with his concern of where my sugars are for my best interest in mind. This makes me more aware of how I should not take it lightly.
