I really dislike going to the doctor… Any doctor! From the first appointment in 2021 to today, I have been completely blessed by everyone at Cumberland dermatology. Since 1975 I have been a several time melanoma survivor and melanShow moreoma killed my father in 2008. For the last 32 years, my dermatologic oncologist has been the Chief of Oncologic Dermatology at UNM Cancer Center in Albuquerque. Moving to Tennessee was daunting and one of my greatest concerns was finding doctors of the caliber I was used to. Although the appointment procedures are slightly different from what I was accustomed to, I am quite happy with the staff at Cumberland dermatology and gladly and highly recommend them to others.
I am tempted to give 5 stars based on the fact that the Staff is friendly and very professional. I would recommend them with this caveat: The Crossville office needs to open up more appt times. I was biopsied for a possible melanoShow morema and the earliest return appointment time was almost 6 months in the future. At my 10:30 am appointment, I was the only patient in the waiting room. The office may be under staffed, but I feel like the staff that was there could handle maybe 3-4 times the volume it is doing. Please, please open up more slots for patients as I do like the facility and staff.
Laura Carter, MA, CDT, CPT, is a certified dermatology technician, phlebotomist, laser safety officer and cosmetic skincare expert at Cumberland Dermatology in Crossville, Tennessee. She sees adult patients of all genders starting at age 15 at the Crossville office.
At Cumberland Dermatology, Laura works with the Mohs surgical team as a skilled histotechnician, preparing body tissue samples and processing slides to determine the amount of tissue that needs to be removed during skin cancer treatment. Laura is personally committed to ensuring each patient has a positive experience during every visit.
In addition to her work as a histotechnician, Laura provides many of our cosmetic services at Cumberland Dermatology. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve their cosmetic goals through various treatments and high-quality products.
Laura and her husband enjoy the life of urban homesteading in breathtaking Cumberland County.

The only thing wrong I went to pick up my prescription and it wasn’t sent in until 4 hours after my Appointment. So I left without the prescription because I was told it would be hours later. So 2 days later I had it transferred to the Walmart closer to where I lived

Botox. My only objection is that there was a visitor in the room during the procedure and if it was a student I was not asked for approval. I would prefer not to have a student in my room when I am being treated. I need my privacy. Otherwise all good.
