The girl that is sitting in the front when you walk in was extremely rude and basically ignored me and then grabbed the phone when I was in the middle of talking to her. Dr Griggs seemed half awake talking to me and didn’t addresShow mores any of my concerns or give me any advice. She made me feel like I was a burden being there even tho I made an appointment. It was my first appointment there and this is my first pregnancy and she made condescending comments about people who went through IVF which is a very hard and sensitive journey already. I left there not feeling good about myself or my pregnancy.
Dr. Griggs was very thorough, knowledgeable and compassionate. Griggs took her time during my initial visit as a new patient with multiple questions and did not rush the appointment . The reason for 4 stars would be location. HoffShow moreman Estates medical building is located within the hospital campus. Parking was extremely difficult and I personally do not like having to go 1/2 hour early to find a spot and walk through a hospital to get to my wellness visit. My elderly mother would never have found it. I will be taking future appointments in the Arlington Heights office with Dr. Griggs. Luckily there is an additional location that is more convenient.
Louisa Griggs, MD, FACOG, is excited to be the newest member of the team at Advanced OB/GYNE Associates, located in Hoffman Estates and Arlington Heights, Illinois, and serving the greater Chicagoland area.
Dr. Griggs earned her medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed her residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, located in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Griggs remembers making a hospital out of her trampoline as a little girl and pretending to deliver babies for her dolls. From that time on, she has had a strong passion for women's health which she brings to her approach towards patient care every day. Her interests include but are not limited to contraception, benign and high-risk obstetrics, traditional gynecological care, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and providing the best care possible to each patient.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling which allowed her to spend a year in Ecuador enhancing her Spanish speaking skills, and spending time with her husband as they explore the Northwest suburbs.
To better serve her patients, Dr. Griggs is fluent in English and Spanish.

Excellent bedside manor
Dr. Patricia is incredibly kind, attentive and helpful. She listened to all of my concerns, fully respected my preferences and boundaries, and made sure to cover all possible bases. I’m really grateful to have found a practitioner i feel so comfortable with!

I love Dr Griggs because she’s honest and doesn’t placate patients but she’s understanding.
Dr. Griggs is professional and compassionate. Great bedside manner and truly cares about her patients! I would recommend her to anyone who is nervous and/or prefers female obi/gyns.

I drive quite a distance because of the care provided by Dr. Griggs. Dr. Griggs takes her time during appointments and asks thoughtful questions that reassure me she is listening. During a time where healthcare can feel so robotic, she is truly a breath of fresh air!
