Macayla was drawn to the health and wellness industry from her own experience with a physical therapist and trainer. She played four years of collegiate soccer at Alma College, where she earned her undergraduate degree. During this time, she experienced a few different ankle injuries that required rehab. Her trainer and her physical therapist at the time made such an impact on her soccer career and helped her get back to her active lifestyle. This experience inspired her to help others like they did for her.

Not only can physical therapy help you heal from an injury or surgery, but it can also give you tools and knowledge to prevent future injuries and to optimize long-term function and wellness.

HER GREATEST SUCCESS

I once had a patient that was trying to get back on the soccer field after an ACL reconstruction. He struggled a lot early on with his strength and motion. We both stayed positive and motivated throughout the process and worked extra hard each day, and he was able to turn a corner and eventually return to playing pain-free.
