About Marc Berger, MD

Dr. Marc S. Berger is a distinguished medical doctor, specializing in pediatrics and holding board certification in the field. He currently serves as a dedicated practitioner at the St. John’s Bluff location, where he works full-time, offering comprehensive healthcare services to children and their families.

Embarking on his professional journey in 1995, Dr. Berger has been a committed general pediatrician for over two decades. His educational background includes an undergraduate degree from Cal State Northridge, medical school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and residency at Baylor in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Berger approaches medicine as an art, recognizing the need for flexibility in his methods. Tailoring his approach to meet the diverse needs of families and situations, he strives to provide optimal care, irrespective of the complexity of the case.

Inspired by the legacy of Dr. Henry Kissel, an old-school general practitioner who cared for multiple generations of his family, Dr. Berger initially started a dual residency program in Med-Peds. However, his passion for working with children led him to specialize in pediatrics at Baylor.

Beyond his medical career, Dr. Berger maintains a balanced lifestyle. He prioritizes daily exercise, indulges in reading, and has a deep appreciation for geek culture. You might find him at conventions like DragonCon and MegaCon, where he shamelessly cos-plays. In addition to his medical pursuits, Dr. Berger is actively working towards a writing career and has made significant progress towards publishing his first novel.

Despite being unmarried and without children, Dr. Berger finds fulfillment in his work and diverse interests. He values actions over words, adhering to the philosophy that one's mission speaks louder than mission statements.

In alignment with his old-school preferences, Dr. Berger avoids professional social media accounts. He draws wisdom from Mahatma Gandhi's words, "If you're right, you can afford to keep your temper. If you're wrong, you can't afford to lose it."

To encapsulate his worldview, Dr. Berger shares a quote from e.e. cummings: "There are two kinds of people in the world—those minding their own business, and those minding everyone else’s." Dr. Berger appreciates the opportunity to share a glimpse of his life and looks forward to continuing his impactful journey in pediatrics and beyond.
