This was my first experience at this office after a work-related injury. They scheduled me in less than twenty four hours and were extremely accommodating. When Mark saw me, I was overly satisfied. He was extremely kind, caring and down to earth. Despite the amount of pain I was in, he managed to make me laugh and was very honest about my prognosis. The scribes in the office are wonderful as well! They actively listen to what you are saying and use closed loop communication to “get it right”. I also loved the x ray tech who was so gentle and sweet. I would HIGHLY recommend this office.
My visit was extremely comprehensive. XRays of leg followed by an examination by Dr. Feldman. Because of my cancer or the cancer treatment the fracture had not healed as well as it should. Dr. Feldman recommended a bone stimulatoShow morer. A representative of the company was there to show us how it is used. Follow up in six weeks. The practice works like clockwork thanks to Dr. Feldman, his P.A. Mark and the rest of the staff.
Mark Oberthaler, PA-C, is a physician assistant and orthopedic associate at Active Joints Orthopedics in Englewood, New Jersey, where he plays an invaluable role in supporting Dr. Feldman and providing outstanding patient care.
Mark‘s journey to his medical career is far from traditional. He spent 30 years in the television industry and was an Emmy nominated video editor at Broadway Video and Framerunner Inc. before deciding to make the move into medicine.
Having chosen his new career path, he joined the Physician Assistant Program at Seton Hall University in New Jersey, graduating in 2014. He went on to achieve NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification later that year and passed the Physician Assistant National Recertifying Exam (PANRE), which assesses general medical and surgical knowledge.
Mark worked at AM/PM Urgent Care in Bergenfield, New Jersey, and at the New Jersey Orthopaedic Institute in Wayne, New Jersey, before joining the team at Active Joints Orthopedics.
Mark is a caring and compassionate practitioner who combines an extensive knowledge of medicine with the highest standards of patient care.

P.A Mark Oberthaler is Amazing part what makes his patients experience wonderful is the admin team and his nurses! If you need an orthopedic/surgeon Active Joints Orthopedic is the place to go for aches, pain, broken/fractures/torn joints or ligaments, and sprains. Keep in mind I’m an existing patient and this is the experience every visit
