Very thorough intake and physical evaluation (including x-rays and sonogram of soft tissues) to fully diagnose the problem within the office so treatment was implemented ASAP! About Us
Martin Sloan, MS, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist practicing at Lake Pointe Foot & Ankle, which has locations in Abilene, near Dyess Air Force Base, and Rockwall, Texas. He is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Sloan earned his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from the University of California at Davis. He then went on to earn his Doctorate at the California College of Podiatric Medicine. He spent twelve months in clinical rotations through the L.A. County-USC Medical Center before completing his surgical residency in corrective surgery at Bellwood General Hospital and the Baja Crippled Children's Project in Baja, Mexico and Mexicali, Mexico (staffed by volunteer faculty from Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center).
Dr. Sloan has been a very skilled podiatrist and has helped military and civilian families around Abilene and Rockwall for the past 36 years. He is committed to ensuring they receive the best and most up to date medical care available. To that end, he has served on the Board of the Texas Podiatric Medical Association for many years and was President of TPMA 2009-2010. He remains active in the leadership of both TPMA and the American Podiatric Medical Association. To stay abreast of all recent developments in podiatric medicine and surgery, he continues to earn Continuing Medical Education credits.
Dr. Martin Sloan and his staff strive to provide the best and most comprehensive podiatric care to their patients on a daily basis. Dr. Sloan is thoroughly trained in all aspects of podiatric care (pediatrics, biomechanics, sports medicine, preventive care, surgery, diabetic foot care, wound care, geriatric, and hospital podiatry). He approaches each patient with a great deal of care and empathy because he, too, has experienced many podiatric problems. He treats each patient as he would a member of his own family. Dr. Sloan has spent considerable time volunteering to ensure the profession moves forward in such a way as to benefit members of the community.
The office at Lake Pointe Foot & Ankle provides patients easy access to Dr. Sloan, the adjacent hospital, and medical testing facilities. Updated modern equipment is used to enhance patient care. The team's goal is to offer individualized care to restore your comfort and ability to engage in your normal daily activities. To this end, they are interested in both the prevention and correction of lower extremity disorders, many of which can be successfully corrected without surgery.
When surgical correction is necessary, it may be performed in either the surgical center or the hospital on an outpatient basis. There is rarely the need for an overnight hospital stay. Dr. Sloan is married and resides in Rowlett and Abilene, Texas. His hobbies include motorcycling, travel, and snorkeling.

Very Good and Helpful a Staff.Wait time 1 1/2 Hrs as was ask to arrive 30 minutes prior to appointment. then 1 hour wait in exam room. Dr. Sloan very good at explaining the treatment and recovery process. I will recomend Dr. Sloan.
Dr. Sloan was great! He was patient, asked thoughtful questions and provided a very thorough examination that helped me understand the issues I was having with my feet.
