About Dr. Mary Ann Franken, MD, FACOG

Dr. Franken attended medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. After receiving her degree, she completed her residency at Texas Health Sciences Center in Amarillo. Dr. Franken started practicing in Carrollton in September of 1999. After taking a few years off for her family, Dr. Franken returned to medicine practicing gynecology only. She now practices on a part-time basis seeing patients one day a week here at Contemporary Women's Care as well as two days a week at Girls to Women Health and Wellness in Dallas where she provides adolescent gynecology care. 

She is Board Certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Franken is passionate about women's health issues and places great value on patient education. "I want my patients to feel comfortable with the health care I provide. I want to listen to my patients and then discuss and explain their health issues, assuring their questions are answered.
