Matthew Wollenschlaeger, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN who joined the Premier Obstetrics and Gynecology team in 2020. He is proud to provide high-quality care to the women in our Maitland, Oviedo, and Lake Mary, FL locations.
Originally from Ocala, Florida, Dr. Wollenschlaeger attended undergraduate school at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry. He returned to Florida to earn a Master of Science degree from the University of South Florida.
Dr. Wollenschlaeger completed his medical degree at The University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. He went on to complete his OB/GYN training at Orlando Health, Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies in Orlando, where he was the Chief Quality Resident.
At Premier Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Wollenschlaeger is excited to offer a full spectrum of women’s healthcare and is dedicated to treating women at all stages of life, from adolescence through senior years. He has a keen interest in providing a safe and enjoyable maternity experience!
Dr. Wollenschlaeger is married to Dr. Ansley Brown, a Pediatrician and Pediatric Critical Care Fellow at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. They have two children, Miles and Margot.

Dr. W truly made me and my husband felt that we were in good hands, despite of the awful circumstances we were facing. Not one doctor have I seen before that hugs their patient and partner and Dr. W did it without hesitation as well as answering all the questions we had. I wouldn’t want to see any other OB moving forward.

I seriously cannot hype up Dr.W enough. From the moment I walked in, I felt cared for, not rushed. He listened to everything, explained things in a way I could actually understand, and made me feel safe, supported, and seen — especially as a first-time mom-to-be with a million of question.

My appointment with Dr. Wollenschlaeger was wonderful! It was my first appointment with him and I was very nervous because I have bad medical anxiety, but he made me feel comfortable and safe! 10 stars! Wonderful experience and wonderful doctor. Dr. W and everyone I interacted with were very helpful and kind. My bilateral salpingectomy surgery could not have gone any smoother. He's so skilled, I have only one tiny incision scar. Extremely happy with everything!

Dr. Matthew is amazing—kind, caring, and incredibly knowledgeable. He answered all my questions patiently, and I feel so much more at ease about my pregnancy journey with him. However, the clinic’s facilities could use improvement. The restroom wasn’t clean, there weren’t enough sanitation supplies for the urine test, and the scale was the most outdated one I’ve ever seen. I expected a more modern setup.
Dr. W is one of the best doctors I've ever encountered. He takes the time to listen to our concerns without ever seeming rushed. We were able to ask all our questions, and he addressed each one thoroughly, putting our minds at ease about our medical issues.
