About Meghan E. Joyce, DSc, MPAS, PA-C

PA Meghan Joyce brings over two decades of leadership, clinical expertise, and academic excellence to her roles in both higher education and orthopaedic practice. A proud U.S. Army veteran, she served in a variety of leadership and academic positions, including Program Director and Chair of the U.S. Army–Baylor University Doctor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies – Orthopaedics (DSc-PASO) program. For seven years, she and Dr. Hope worked side by side at Brooke Army Medical Center, collaborating on patient care, clinical leadership, and orthopaedic innovation.


Now, PA Joyce is thrilled to continue that partnership at Northeast Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, where she brings her passion for orthopaedics and patient-centered care to the clinic. She also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education at Baylor University’s Physician Assistant Studies program, where she mentors future PAs and helps shape the next generation of healthcare providers.


Originally from New Jersey (yes, she once had the accent), PA Joyce’s path to medicine was anything but conventional. After earning her degree in Sports Medicine, she enlisted in the Army, later earning her PA degree and doctorate while serving in diverse clinical settings—from rural Hawaii to combat zones in Afghanistan and the UAE.


She and her husband Kevin have five energetic children, a very excitable (and only semi-trained) Schnauzer named Bear, and a calendar packed with soccer games, school events, and symphony fundraisers. Somehow, she still finds time to teach, treat patients, and occasionally sleep.
