About Melinda Matherly, PA

Melinda is a board certified Physician Assistant and she has held this credential since 2017. She received her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree from Augusta University (formerly Medical College of Georgia). She is passionate about family centered care.

Melinda has a unique background that lead her to pursue a career in medicine. She started as a hospital and medical facility Interior Designer after graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2011. She loved interacting with patients while researching and conceptualizing medical spaces so much that she pursued a Bachelor's of Science at Armstrong State University to further her career as a Physician Assistant. Melinda’s transitional career has lead her to develop relationships with patients that last a lifetime through design and medicine.

Melinda has lived in Savannah for most of her adult life. She loves spending time with her husband, beautiful daughter and her two dogs. Melinda has a passion for fitness, farm to table cooking, and traveling.
