As always, the person at the front desk was friendly, smiling, polite, and engaging. I was about 15 minutes early for my appointment but had to wait just a few minutes to be directed into an exam room, where another staff member pShow moreolitely asked, and wrote notes about my answers to, questions related to any current dermatological needs or issues. Then just a few minutes later Dr. Dans came into the room, offered a friendly greeting, briefly reviewed my chart, and began his typically thorough exam. I had a quesstion about the efficacy of a commercial scar cream, and Dr. Dans gave me his frank opinion. This is how I believe any doctor's visit should be well conducted.

I do look a few years younger, which is great, but more importantly, I look much healthier. That has made me feel happier and healthier, too. Dr. Dans received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at the University of California, Davis before earning his combined MD/PhD degree at New York University School of Medicine in New York City. He completed his dermatology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
As an expert in his field, Dr. Dans has published numerous scientific and medical articles and book chapters about skin diseases and treatments. In addition to being on staff at California Pacific Medical Center, he teaches the next generation of physicians as a clinical instructor of dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco.

Exactly what I need every time.
Came to see Dr. Dans for a routine yearly skin check for my many moles, discolorations, age spots etc Dr. Dans is efficient, friendly and courteous as he explains what he is doing and what he is looking for. The ofc is easy to get to with ample parking at the Union Square garage.

Very good first visit, Dr Dans was patient and attentive, answered questions calmly and really listened. My issue was taken care of in the appointment. My time there was quick but not at all rushed.

I've been going to Dr. Dans for many years, and I always have excellent visits. His staff is invariably nice and professional, and Dr. Dans treatments are always effective. I appreciate that he always takes time listening to my ailments and answers all my questions. He is also mindful of what he prescribes; he'd ask if I still have some medicine (ointment type that's expensive) left from the prior prescription, so that I don't end up with an extra amount I don't need. I really appreciate that.

My examination was thorough and effective. A biopsy was taken from an area on my neck to be tested for possible malignancy. This procedure was prompt and painless.
As always my appointment was on time and on schedule. Dr. Dans and his staff are both attentive and efficient.

A friend recommended that I see Dr. Dans after an unfortunate experience that I had with another dermatologist in October 2023. Unlike the previous doctor, Dr. Dan answered all of my questions including the meaning of the biopsy report that the previous doctor never explained to me. He also identified that the ointment I was given previously was probably past its expiration date, given its discoloration that I would not have known about. Dr. Dans is kind, professional, and clearly not focused on selling products from his office. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Dr. Dans and his whole office is great. I’ve been seeing him for over a decade. I only come in yearly for skincare issues, and it always goes well. He’s the best.

Dr Dan is total professional and and gentleman too and his staff are equally a team of professionals also, I’m in great care and lucky to be his patient
Struggled to pronounce what I had - felt like it was the first time he'd heard of it, didn't want to test it or explain why he wouldn't test it. Recommended to go with steroid shots which he did right away. Felt very impersonal and just handed over ice bags and left. Didn't sit to explain what it was, if I had to make changes in lifestyle etc. I will go back but will ask my questions beforehand before I get the shots.
