I have only been working with Dr. Lara for a few months, but he has been extremely helpful through my mental health journey. Additionally, he has encouraged me to not just rely on medication to treat my symptoms, but also has encouraged me to do other activities such as exercise and journal. Dr. Lara earned his bachelor’s degree in English literature with a minor in biological sciences at Stanford University in Stanford, California. He completed his master’s degree in English and American literature and language at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Dr. Lara earned his medical degree from the University of California in Los Angeles, and he’s board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
