Michal Ganz, MD, is an excellent gastroenterologist serving patients at Hampshire Gastroenterology Associates in Florence, Massachusetts. A Western Massachusetts native, Dr. Ganz attended elementary through high school in the Amherst School System. Dr. Ganz completed her undergraduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge. During her junior year, she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, America’s oldest academic honor society.
Later, she earned a master’s degree in toxicology from MIT before completing medical school at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester. She completed an internal medicine residency research pathway at UMass, in which she studied the immune and inflammatory pathways of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Dr. Ganz had numerous publications and won numerous awards for her work. She then completed her gastroenterology fellowship – with a special focus in women’s health – at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She treats all aspects of Gl and liver disease.
Dr. Ganz joined the Hampshire Gastroenterology team in 2018.

I LOVE Dr. GANZ. However, the staffakes it soooo difficult to get to her even after a visit to the ER. I explicitly followed up the next morning providing the details on the phone and in the portal. Her office didn't reach out for a follow-up visit until a week later after I continued to press for her office to get the details from Baystate.
I had to cancel my appointment with Dr Ganz because the appointment was made without any concerns about my ability to take it. I merely received a message stating this is your appointment giving the time and date. I had to call 2x a wee apart to the office after my visit with Janet the NP as no one called me to set up the appoint. After the 2nd call, I did receive the message about 1 1/2 weeks later. Because I was leaving for Florida I would not have had time to do the necessary follow up with the Dr. No-one even asked my why I was cancelling when I called. So saying all this Janet was great: the scheduling the Dr. appointment was difficult. Therefore I cannot rate Dr Ganz's visit as I never did get there. I have never had any doctor's office "assign me" a visit. Thank you. Marilyn Webb

Dr. Linson would get five stars in every category if thos feedback were structured in that way. She is one of the best doctors I've had in ages, including GI doctors in the Boston area. I'm really grateful that she made the sometimes grueling process of an endoscopy and colonoscopy much easier than they might have otherwise been. She's also a very clear communicator and excellent listener.

Dr Lindon is the kind of doc I think we all want. She was personable, professional, knowledgable and friendly. Doctor Ganz is a compassionate, dedicated doctor. Though those are things that are most important to me she is so much more. She is a good listener without judgement and reaches decisions that both patient and doctor are comfortable with. She's simply the best!!

Saving the 5th tar till after the biopsy. Dr Linson was the shining star to my 2 weeks of wondering why nothing was being done sooner. The lab report from Cooley stated the 5.5cm. growth on my esophogaus was to be assumed malignant till proven otherwise. Not very comforting. And then not getting into the office till 12/1. Dr. Linson was very apologetic and and shared my time concerns. To the point that she did whatever she had to do to get my biopsy done as soon as possible. Could not be hapier about the way I was treated, and how all my questions and concerns were addressed. Dr. Linson and all members of the office staff I interacted with were excellent. I left the office feelibg much less stress than when I walked in. Thankyou for making a difficult time much easier. Al Chaney
