Michele Reed, DO, FAAFP, is a board-certified family medicine physician, public speaker, and best-selling author. She serves as the owner/medical director of MS Family Medicine Health Care, P.C., a holistic practice that is located in Garden City, Long Island. Recently, Dr. Michele was appointed as the first Health and Wellness Ambassador for Discover Long Island. Her debut book “Mentally Fit, Physically Strong: The FitDoc’s Guide to Real Life, Real Fitness, Real Health” was released May 2017 and became a bestseller on Amazon in June 2017.
Dr. Michele received her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She also serves as the School District Physician for the Malverne and Roosevelt School Districts in Nassau County, NY. Dr. Michele remains committed to serving her community and also serves as the community Medical Director for The Congregational Church of South Hempstead. One of her greatest accomplishments was completing The NYC Marathon in the fall of 2015. Since then, she has completed the Chicago Marathon (Oct 2016) and has challenged herself to run half-marathons in all 50 states.

Dr. Ahmad is meticulous, knowledgeable and professional.
The office seems to lack basic communication skills and the efficiency you’d expect from a medical practice. Getting in touch with the office for follow-ups or to ask questions is a struggle. Messages are rarely returned, and it can take several days to hear back regarding even the simplest inquiries. This lack of communication and respect for patients’ time is frustrating. The basic operational procedures are inconsistent. Overall, this office has a lot of room for improvement when it comes to both communication and their general standard of care. I would not recommend this practice until these issues are addressed.
My visit today was very long n time consuming but well worth it as I needed to get clearance for my upcoming surgery.

My first time visiting and I loved it. at first I requested a female doctor however one wasn’t available, but Dr. Ahmad made me feel so comfortable answered all my questions thoroughly educated me uncertain things. Made me feel cared for and he listened. I do have a follow up appointment with him and in the future, I would honestly like for him to remain my primary, it was just an experience that I’ve never experience with any doctor in my life. So thank you Dr. Ahmad.
