I had gotten there at 7:30 AM due to numerous text telling me to please arrive early the door was closed I waited the 15 minutes before they unlock the door and let me in no big deal I was the only one there until another couple cShow moreame in I had assumed I was the first patient for Dr. Emery who is awesome and her staff always is awesome as well I usually get the foot bath and was told that they only had three and they were already used which I could not understand how could that be when I just walked in at 7:45 and had an 8 o’clock appointment I didn’t make a big deal out of it but I thought that was a little odd I like to have the foot bath because it makes it easier for her to do what she needs to do on my feet but I very much admire and like Dr. Emery she addresses all my concerns I never feel rushed even though I have to work a full day after my visit I just have an ongoing problem that she is definitely doing her best to help me with other than that I am happy patient
Dr. Michelle is always a pleasure to interact with, especially with my odd "very talkative introvert" vibe I've got going on. This last particular visit was literally THE best I have EVER had. They helped me a lot on the intake eShow moreven if it was just my bad luck. Then, instead of doing the cleaning as per usual, the team took my injury seriously and saw the doctor within 5-10 minutes which was great. Normally I wait 20 minutes due to cleaning and the rest. Apart from the initial waiting period, it was a 100% perfectly good experience. Even with everything, it was still over 99%. Very impressed! I wish every doctor at every visit would as impressive!
Meet Dr. Emery
Michelle Emery, DPM, is a highly-trained podiatrist with the team at Cortez Foot & Ankle Specialists and sees patients at their offices in Bradenton and Sarasota, Florida. Dr. Emery graduated summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor of Science in biology. She then earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she was a member of the Sterling Hartford DiPrimio Honorary Society. After obtaining her degree, she returned to New England and completed a three-year podiatric medical and surgical residency at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island. While there, she received extensive training in all aspects of forefoot and rearfoot care. Her surgical experience ranges from the correction of bunions and hammertoes to Charcot reconstructions, pediatric flatfoot correction, and trauma.
Always striving to further her medical knowledge to provide the best and most up-to-date care for her patients, Dr. Emery has attended numerous training and certification courses and is STAR total ankle replacement certified. She enjoys speaking at medical conferences as well as community functions to share information with the public on common foot and ankle disorders and treatments. Throughout her training, she has felt privileged to volunteer at numerous events, including the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer Walk and the historic Boston Marathon.
Although a New England native and avid Boston sports fan, Dr. Emery is thrilled to be moving to Florida and be a part of the team at Cortez Foot &Ankle Specialists. Growing up, she frequently visited family on the Gulf Coast and fell in love with the warm weather, beautiful beaches, and plethora of outdoor activities. She has always considered Florida her second home and is eager to become part of the Sarasota and Manatee community.
In her spare time, Dr. Emery enjoys going to the beach, kayaking, dancing, Pilates, and spending time with her husband and daughter. As an active individual, Dr. Emery understands how much a foot and ankle injury or disorder can affect your day-to-day life, and this is what initially inspired her to pursue a career in podiatry. She looks forward to making each patient her top priority by giving them the time and attention needed for a prompt diagnosis and treatment.
