Dr Shah is fantastic and my experience at the appointment was excellent. My only criticism is with the on-line registration the night before. If you have a face to face meeting you are instructed to call the office and don’t come Show morein until you talk to them. I was on hold over one hour the person dealing with appointments had no idea what I was calling about. I finally called back after being disconnected, hit 0 for operator, she verified my appointment which I already had email and text verification. A very frustrating process.
We’ve had excellent service over the years. BUT, make sure you nail down Dr. Shah on expected recovery time! Also, make sure you find out what ALL out of pocket expenses will be! My husband had hand surgery with pins placed. 2 monShow moreths later they are being removed via local anesthesia and we have to pay over $800!! Even though he’s only having an injection to numb the ONE finger, he still has to go to “out-patient surgery.” Also, you have to pay for EVERY follow up visit and any X-rays!
Munir Shah, MD, is an experienced, board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician at The Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre in The Woodlands, Texas. Dr. Shah is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and has fellowship training in managing upper extremity and hand problems.
Dr. Shah specializes in treating a wide array of musculoskeletal conditions, including sports injuries, fractures, arthritis, and carpal tunnel syndrome. He understands that many conditions respond well to non-surgical treatment, and physical therapy is often critical to optimizing patient results.
Dr. Shah earned his bachelor’s degree from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, graduating summa cum laude. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis and induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Dr. Shah spent another year in San Antonio, Texas, where he obtained specialty training in microsurgery and upper extremity surgery.
Dr. Shah is the only board-certified hand surgeon in Montgomery County and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification of the Hand (CAQH). He’s a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Shah was named one of Houston’s Top Doctors by H Texas Magazine on multiple occasions and held the title chief of orthopedics at Memorial Hermann Hospital The Woodlands.

Dr Sharma is caring, and attentive. He takes time to really listen to everything I say and then addresses every question and concern that I have. I went to him with terrible chronic nerve pain in my right leg, but now I’m getting around pretty much normal again. Dr Sharma is a wonderful Dr., and his staff is great as well. They handle call backs, refills etc. quickly and always with kindness.

Excellent! I arrived on time and I was taken to x-rays right away. Dr shah reviewed the films right away. He gave me a prescription for PT. There was no waiting.
