About Nadege Petrie

Nadège R. Petrie, LPC, LMHC, is the founder and owner of Hopeful Minds Counseling Services in Newberg, Oregon. As a Haitian-American, she witnessed the effects of hardship and loss from a young age and wanted to make a difference. With this in mind, she earned her Master's in Clinical Mental Health from Medaille University in Buffalo, New York, to affect change in the lives of the people around her.

Now a full-time licensed professional counselor, Nadège has worked with adolescents, adults, families (including blended families), and members of the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities for years in both community mental health settings and private practice. She works from a trauma-informed care approach, helping clients understand how their past stressors and trauma impact them and giving them the space to take the time they need to heal.

Nadège also helps clients focus on their strengths, empowering them to narrate their own experiences with unique challenges. She has assisted individuals recovering from PTSD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and more.

Outside work, she can be found volunteering, running marathons, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
