Very appreciative of my first visit with Dr. Parikh. Having worked with two nephrologists previously, this was the first time I experienced my numbers were actually explained well. For instance, my GFR # was not just the 'stage'Show more of kidney disease, but it represents the percentage of kidney function ... such a simple, but eye-opening piece of additional info. Plus no one had previously discussed with me what the 'cause' of my kidney malfunction was - or suggested going further, as he did, to order an ultrasound so that he could glean more details. I was also impressed at Dr. Parikh's willingness to take additional time to discuss these things - and that he was already familiar with my medical history before having met me. DG
