At this office, everybody treats me like an important person, as if I had been a patient for years (which I haven’t). Staff is friendly, polite and professional. I was referred to Dr Issis after my physician of 40 years retired. IShow more presumed I would feel awkward with a new doc and staff, but almost immediately I didn’t. Phone calls are answered in a timely and friendly manner, prescriptions are ordered immediately, and there was no waiting time. Plus he replaced my Cardiologist and works well with my other docs as well. Inhave been to this office multiple times now. My experience has always been good.

My brother and I are very GRATEFUL to have Dr. Issa looking after my moms medical needs and Thanks to his great work and guiding us my mother is doing so well despite her advanced dementia and almost turning 91 years old! Omar Issa, DO, FACC, practices concierge internal medicine and cardiology at Coral Gables Cardiology Associates, P.A. in Coral Gables, Florida. Dr. Issa’s practice centers on evidence-based medicine, and he has particular expertise in preventive care as well as cardiovascular evaluation and treatment. He provides an integrated approach to medical care, emphasizing collaboration with all members of a patient’s health care team to ensure coordination, and optimize outcomes.
Dr. Issa has a special interest in the cardiovascular care of athletes. He completed an advanced cardiovascular fellowship in sports cardiology/cardiac performance with Harvard Medical School at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. During his training, Dr. Issa provided care to hundreds of amateur, elite level, and professional athletes, including those from the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins, and Boston Red Sox.
He is utilizing this experience in his current work with the Miami Heat, NBA G League, Inter Miami CF, and Florida International University athletic teams. His vision is to bring these techniques of performance optimization to amateur and recreational athletes in the Miami area.
Dr. Issa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology from the University of Florida and then received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in California. After returning to Florida, Dr. Issa did his internship and residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. He also completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease with the Columbia University Division of Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.
Dr. Issa holds board certification in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, adult comprehensive echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and vascular interpretation. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and presented research to professional organizations such as the American College of Cardiology.

My visits with Dr Issa always leave me feeling confident that I am getting great healthcare. He has a great bedside manner as well as an incredible knowledge of a variety of medical issues. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is need of general or cardiac care.
Listens, takes time, knowledgeable and has a nuance common sense approach - takes the whole person/ picture into account not a cookie cutter manual approach like so many doctors have lately. Wonderful helpful and friendly team - no wait and I hear other doctors are great as well :) Glad practices like this exist…
