About Dr. Paul Rosenberg, MD

Paul R. Rosenberg, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Eye Care & Surgery in New York City, which has two locations in Washington Heights, Manhattan, and another near the Grand Concourse in the Bronx, right across the street from Yankee Stadium. Dr. Rosenberg specializes in Medical Retina and Comprehensive Ophthalmology, including treatment of Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, Vein Obstruction, and Uveitis.

He studied in New York City and received his undergraduate degree Summa Cum Laude from City University of New York, Brooklyn College. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his medical degree from State University of New York, Downstate College of Medicine. He was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the honor society membership offered to the top 10% of the medical school class. Dr. Rosenberg completed an ophthalmology residency at Lenox Hill Hospital and a fellowship in Medical Retina at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Montefiore campus, under the tutelage of Dr. Joseph B. Walsh, later the director and chair of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Rosenberg was an Associate Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he trained residents and fellows. He lectures students and ophthalmologists nationally and has authored numerous articles in prestigious peer-reviewed journals and ophthalmology textbooks. For a decade, Dr. Rosenberg has been teaching two instruction courses for practicing Ophthalmologists at the American Academy of Ophthalmology , the yearly national meeting. He was honored by the Academy with the Achievement Award, which recognizes members for their contributions to the Academy, it's scientific and educational programs and to ophthalmology.

Dr. Rosenberg is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a fellow of the American Board of Laser Surgery, and has a Masters of Medical Management from Tulane University.

Dr. Rosenberg maintains his credentials to stay up to date with the latest advances in ophthalmology. He’s a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
