Dr. Peter Wawrzusin is a seasoned Comprehensive Ophthalmologist renowned for his expertise in Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, distinguishing himself by being elected as chief resident. Building on this foundation, he pursued a fellowship in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery and served as a clinical educator at Nassau University Medical Center and Hackensack Meridian Medical School.
A Maryland native, Dr. Wawrzusin's journey included impactful research at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, where he contributed to the development of high-resolution imaging systems. Graduating with honors from Georgetown University School of Medicine as an Alpha Omega Alpha inductee, his research spans both basic sciences and clinical applications, earning publication in esteemed medical journals.
