Hi, my name is Piettra Alves. I am originally from Brazil however, I have lived in the United States for 23 years. My dream of becoming a doctor and taking care of the sick was instilled in me at a very young age. After moving to the US as a teenager, I completed high school and went on to earn a degree in nursing. I then pursued graduate school and graduated with a Doctor of Nursing practice from OKCU. Throughout my personal and professional life, I have upheld the values of hard-work and consistency in order to be successful. I understand the necessity of evidence-based practice for both the advancement of my profession and for providing high quality care for patients. I firmly believe that people should receive empathetic, compassionate care that is also backed up by evidence-based practice. For the past 11 years I have worked with patients of all ages, from birth to the fragile elderly. It is my privilege as a Doctor of Nursing Practice to care for the health of my patients.
