I am a new patient. I have been suffering from ulcerative colitis for almost 3 years. I traveled from a smaller town about 3 hours away. I was very impressed with my first visit. Dr. Anaparthy spent quite a bit of time with me & wShow moreas able to explain a lot of issues that have been going on with my condition & was the first Dr. I’ve ever spoken with that had a plan & could explain the procedures that I would need to assess my current condition & what route we would take after getting results of the tests. Dr Anaparthy was genuinely concerned with the care that I had been given in the past and was able to “calm” me, with her knowledge of my disease and having a “plan” to hopefully recover. The staff was wonderful in helping me plan all my procedures as I live 3 hours away and procedures and lab work were going to be hard to plan. I was there late afternoon and by 11:00 am the next day, all my lab work & procedures were scheduled. Absolutely amazing !!! I have never experienced an office staff with such efficiency! I am looking forward to my next appointment as this is the first time I have EVER experienced a Dr. & staff that not only made me feel pleasant, but also important in caring for my health.
Good doctors are good communicators. Being a good listener is critical to being a good doctor. Good doctors are organized and conscientious. Good doctors make patients feel cared for. Good doctors are curious and they ask all thShow moree right questions. Good doctors genuinely care about their patients and seek to understand all of the circumstances that contribute to their overall wellbeing. A good doctor makes you feel after your consolation that everything is going to turn out just fine. Dr. Anaparthy is all of this, she truly showed concern about my stomach problems, I left her office feeling so much better mentally and spiritually. As for her medical and office staff i give them an A+ They all gave me appropriate, quality patient care and very good advice about my insurance plan. Please be patient when it comes to waiting in her office she has a large amount of patients, It really is well worth the wait.
Dr. Rajeswari Anaparthy is the director and cofounder of Southwest Gastroenterology.
She graduated from India and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas. She worked at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester in the Department of Hospital Internal Medicine and subsequently completed her Fellowship in Gastroenterology at University of Kansas Medical Center. She has been in Gastroenterology practice since 2013.
Dr. Anaparthy is a diplomat of American Board of Gastroenterology. She is also board certified in Internal Medicine.
Her special interests include Gastrointestinal motility disorders, Inflammatory bowel disease, Celiac disease, Pelvic floor dysfunction and Women’s gastrointestinal health issues.

Dr. Anaparthy always takes good care of me and treats me like a family member and not a patient, it’s hard to find that in this day and age. She doesn’t judge me and cares for me regardless which is greatly appreciated. Thank you Dr. Anaparthy.

Great staff
Not impressed with staff or office procedures. Because I wanted to see the doctor not a PA, I had to wait 4 months for an appointment. Then at the appointment time, the doctor was running behind - expected wait, 1 hour. Contact should have been made to notify patient of this, let the patient decide if they want to wait or reschedule. Three times patient was asked for the name of the pharmacy that they used, even after stating there was no specific pharmacy because there were no history of prescription medications. Patient submitted that phone calls/messages only, NO TEXT MESSAGES. However, the very next day patient was sent a text message to take a survey to provide feedback. Apparently, no one seems to care about the patient/client. The unfortunate thing is that the doctor comes highly recommended, too bad the office staff doesn't live up to the doctor's reputation.
Dr. Anaparthy is a wonderful and caring physician. She takes the time to answer any questions seems genuinely interested in your health issues. She is very competent and runs a great practice. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Dr Anaparthy was attentive and very thorough in reviewing my issues. Blood work and other testing was authorized. I have a follow up appointment next month.
From scheduling an appointment to talking with the front office to seeing the doctor. This office has great knowledgeable and caring associates. It’s nice to finely ask a question and get it answered. Dr Anaparthy took time to ask questions and gave me the opportunity to ask questions she was very thorough and attentive. Just having that connection makes you a little more at ease that your care will be in good hands.
Dr Anaparthy is a very compassionate doctor. She listens, tries to understand and explain the health concerns. In addition, she works with you to create a treatment plan. Glad to have her as my Doctor.

Dr. A might be the BEST doctor I’ve ever seen in my 47-years on this planet. I don’t know how she is able to provide attention, detail, TIME, comprehensive communication, clear, supportive, thorough, professional personal care along with the scientific resolutions she pursues, but she does it in a way that is beyond great training, academic acumen or even experience. She has an essence about her character that makes her DISTINCTLY superior in her interactions. I’d take it as divine intervention if you’re able to be under her medical care.
