Dr Banna quite littered saved my live. I picked up a MRSA infection somewhere that settled in my heart. It chewed up a valve and when the valve started coming apart, it caused several strokes. I was being treated for the infectionShow more and had heart surgery scheduled for several day later when a massive part of the valve came off in the middle of the night, causing a massive stroke. Dr Banna was the doctor on call. He spent 5 hours with me in the surgery department of Banner Thunderbird hospital. He would not leave my side. After coming out of the hospital 45 days later, I made the choice to keep him as my cardiologist. He rocks. He genuinely cares. I have had to have an ablation, had multiple tests he has steered my through. Best part is I am still here and doing very well.
I had to give over my driver license ID to be scanned which is an improper storage of data. I only have to show it to you. It says on my DL that I am a veteran even though I did not ask DMV to do that for me. They just did it baseShow mored on their records. Fast forward to the clinic. The PA called me back to the exam area and half saluted me as I approached. I did not respond. Dr Doss did the same thing when he entered the exam room. I did not respond again. I'm not sure who thought this is a good idea, but it is off putting. I've been a civilian more than 40 years, and anthropologists should never be saluted. Come on, who thought this is an endearing behavior. They don't ever do this even at the VA hospital.

Amazing doctor. He spends time with his patients, very thorough and professional. He leaves no stone unturned and catches every little thing. Although I am a patient at Mayo Clinic I have retained Dr. Doss as my cardiologist for the past several years and have switched from a much too busy Dr. Rizick to Dr. Doss several years ago when I was having serious blood pressure concerns. My condition has been controlled and closely followed (by Dr Doss himself not an PA or NP.
