I came in today for a nuclear stress test. I had not had one for a couple of years and Dr. Rastegar thought it would be wise for me to have one again. Before arriving, I contacted the office to review what I should bring, when I hShow moread to stop eating and drinking, and what the morning would entail. I arrived at 9:30. One doctor prepared me for the first part (the injection) and then supervised it. He also prepared me for the treadmill part of the test. Dr. Rastegar supervised that section, monitoring the speed and angle of the treadmill. During the time I was walking on the treadmill, Dr. Rastegar continually asked me how I was feeling and told me in advance when she was going to raise the treadmill and increase the speed. Throughout, she was encouraging and checked in with me. When I was beginning to tire, she asked me how much more I could do and adjusted things based on my response, I assume. She was very supportive. I then had a 45 mnute break for food and drink. When I returned, the first part of the test was repeated. I sat in the office for a while before Dr. Rastegar shared the positive results with me. I had been nervous when I arrived in the morning, but felt in totally good hands throughout. And it was quite a busy day in the office; I was not the only one getting a stress test. But everything was well organized and seemed to run smoothly. Everyone on staff at the office was pleasant asndf efficient, as always.
As in past years, I find the interaction with Dr. Rastegar exceptionally good, as well as her immediate feedback, and continue to recommend her to any who mentions anything about cardiac testing etc. Office reception was good, I Show morewas seen almost immediately--no waiting much appreciated. I was unhappy with the office email followup offering me notes on the visit--which turned out to be a payment request for the bill which had not yet even been processed by Medicare. Additionally, I was funneled into a dog chasing tail cycle involving setting up an account with Athena (an organization unknown to me and which I desire to have nothing to do with). The program then got my default phone and cell phone confounded and started me over twice. After seeing 25 minutes of my time wasted, I signed off frustrated about not getting the initially promised visit notes. I am taking the time to answer your inquiry only with the hope (or feeling of responsibility) of giving feedback which might get the procedure better designed. Perhaps this is part of a detestable movement to automate every aspect of medical care. Summary: medical visit and process exceptionally good; follow up process thoroughly unpleasant.
