About Rebecca Koenigsberg, DO

 

 

Meet Dr. Koenigsberg

Rebecca Koenigsberg, DO is excited to join Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Associates, LTD in the summer of 2024. She looks forward to serving the communities of Scottsdale and Gilbert by providing high quality, evidence-based care. 

Dr. Koenigsberg attended Penn State University as an undergraduate completing a B.S. in Biology, Neuroscience concentration, and Psychology minor. She then was selected for the competitive Postbac Intramural Research and Training Award program at the National Institute of Health (NIH) and spent the year completing neurovirology research related to ALS. 

After this, she attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where she proudly became a third generation physician graduate. She then completed her Pediatrics residency at Indiana University Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, IN and her Allergy/Immunology fellowship at The Ohio State University Medical Center/Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH. Throughout these experiences she published and lectured nationally on her research in various topics including eosinophilic esophagitis and immunology.

Dr. Koenigsberg cares deeply about compassionate, thorough care for all ages within the breadth of allergy and immunology. She particularly enjoys guiding families through food allergy and immunotherapy discussions, focusing on individualizing goals and mythbusting misinformation with kindness and empathy. She has also mentored numerous students and has a deep passion for medical education in all stages of training, both for physicians and other healthcare professionals. 

Dr. Koenigsberg loves her family dearly including her husband, dog, and cat. She has many hobbies including horseback riding, cooking/baking, gardening, travel, musical theater, and board games.
