About Dr. Rhonda Traynor

Rhonda Morgan Traynor is Colorado Recovery Solutions Chief Nurse Officer (CNO) who is active in the total patient care of all clients, as well as ketamine administration nurse with more than three decades experience in mental health and psychiatric nursing, ECT nurse, gero-psychiatric nurse manager, alcohol detox nursing and community faith nurse. Rhonda graduated from Cleveland School of Nursing, 1993 and Carson Newman University, 2007. She is proficient in intravenous infusion with experience for many years working in cardiovascular open heart, cardiac catheterization, level two emergency department, and medical surgical units. In 2007, Rhonda left East Tennessee to serve as a Global War On Terrorism RN contractor for the United States Air Force Emergency Medical Services.Upon four years completion for Wright Patterson AFB GWOT RN, Emergency Services, Rhonda worked at Veterans Administration Hospital, Missouri, as an emergency psychiatric nurse, where she received an award for Excellence in Nursing.

 

Rhonda, also a Diabetes Nurse Educator who developed diabetes education programs for hospitals in Kentucky and Tennessee, and in 2012, while working in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, she co-founded and continues to co-hosts “Your Health Matters", a live broadcast on WSKVFM.com. Now with listeners worldwide and known as the "Sugar Sheriff', Rhonda became certified in chronic disease self-care management through Stanford University Leadership Training School. She is certified in cognitive processing therapy and enjoys sharing her life-long learning with each patient, as well as actively collaborating with CRS providers and patients to provide optimal patient care for each individual who seeks treatment. Rhonda is active with policy development and staff training of all employees at CRS. 

 

Alleviating PTSD, treatment resistant depression and chronic pain from the effects of war and exposure to other traumatic events during military service is the main reason that Rhonda joined Dr. Ashley Johnson and her team of dedicated providers and supportive staff. She is passionate about ketamine therapy as part of the medical management regime within a board-certified psychiatric medical practice.

 

While away from her patients, Rhonda enjoys her many grandchildren, fishing, gardening, cooking healthy Appalachian, playing the dulcimer, teaching life skills for optimal health, swimming, and sharing the joy of living with others.
