This was my third trip to the practice. It was mid-afternoon and the office was busy. My appointment was at 3:30 and due to heavy traffic I arrived at 3:36 and checked in and was seated. When no one had called me by 4:15, I went bShow moreack to the window and an embarrassed office person apologized and called me back immediately. I was to be put in an examining room, but another patient was already there. I was put in another room and sat on the examining table and took my shoes off. As soon as I had done that, another nurse came in and told me I’d have to move from that room because it was set up for a procedure on someone else. The third room was the charm, and my short visit with Dr. Katz to pick up my orthotics went well.
Suffice it to say I like to be treated as I would treat others. Dr. Robert Zatz and his apparently very competent staff do this. It is a relief to feel that individuals who are providing me with services which are difficult for meShow more to do for myself are, in fact, treating me in such a manner. Dr. Katz has the ability to joke and be friendly and generally make me comfortable when I visit his office. When the need to be serious arises he talks to me as though I possess the ability to intelligently discuss the situation. Dr Katz and staff make me feel like I want to visit their office.
Meet Dr. Katz
Experienced podiatrist Robert Katz, DPM, joined Cortez Foot & Ankle Specialists in 1991, and he sees patients at their main office in Bradenton and in Sarasota, Florida.
Dr. Katz graduated from the University of Florida and the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. During his surgical residency at Maryland General and Bon Secours Hospital in Baltimore, Dr. Katz rotated through affiliate facilities of Johns Hopkins University. He later received his Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida in May 2001.
Dr. Katz has remained highly active in the medical community and is a past president of the Florida Podiatric Medical Association. He has a special interest in electronic healthcare records and is very involved in the digital changes and improvements to Cortez Foot and Ankle Specialists.
In his spare time, Dr. Katz enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, in addition to swimming and participating in cross-fit.

Dr Katz Knows what a professional athlete needs, he knew exactly why my new orthotics I purchased from Cortez Foot were not helping me. He's a former tennis player and knew I needed more stability and more cushion in the heel and a tighter fit in the heel. Great Dr Can't wait to get my new orthotics
My appointment was for 8:15 a.m., and I was called to an examining room at 8:15 a.m., despite the fact that four other clients had already been called for their 8:00 a.m. appointments. The assistant was efficient, and the doctor was prompt. He took care of my callouses so that i was relieved of pain. Afterwards, I received assistance with my compression socks and shoes. My checkout was also efficient, and I was finished in about 45 minutes.
