My doctor and his assistant are great. The check-in staff seem unconcerned. Some are slow to acknowledge you and seem like they are just watching the clock. Then, at closing time, the support staff are the first ones out the door Show moreand they nearly trample over you to get to their cars. My most recent visit was on a Friday, so I guess that may have had an effect. Maybe I need to have an appointment earlier in the week or earlier in the day. This is the first time that I was not too thrilled about my visit.
The doctor is always upbeat and has great energy. Very grateful the doctor was able to fit me in so quickly. Originally from Cuba, Dr. Herrera began his medical studies at the University of Santiago de Cuba. After graduating from medical school, he went on to complete his Residency in Family Medicine in Holguin, Cuba.
Dr. Herrera spent time working in Puerto Rico and Venezuela in hospitals as a family practitioner and in rural areas for those in need. Upon moving to South Florida, he began working at the Cleveland Clinic. Throughout his career, he has immersed himself in family medicine, anesthesiology, emergency care, and urgent care. He is a skilled and tested primary care physician who puts patient needs first.
Dr. Herrera believes in high-quality medicine and making care accessible. He has created workshops and served on leadership committees that aimed to enhance patient care. He is fluent in English and Spanish and will work with patients to establish the best point of care in order for them to live a healthy lifestyle.
