Rose Smith, W.H.N.P., provides the highest quality of care to patients at The Howard Center, with locations in Covington, Valdosta, Moultrie, Warner Robins, Leesburg, Douglas, Tifton, and Waycross, Georgia.
Rose was born and raised in Ocilla, Georgia, and still resides there today. She started out working in Labor and Delivery and found women’s health not only fascinating, but rewarding for both the provider and the patient. She received her Master’s in Science in Nursing from Emory University in Atlanta with a specialty in Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
She is proud to be able to provide comprehensive health care to women throughout their lifespan, with an emphasis on reproductive and gynecologic health needs. She is also well-qualified to provide well-woman care, prenatal and postpartum care, care for women experiencing episodic acute or chronic illnesses, as well as care to men who have selected reproductive health needs or problems.
Rose loves the feeling of being able to make a difference. Being a provider has given her the opportunity to take care of the women in her community. She strives to make sure that her patients receive the utmost care and are always made a top priority.

I drive from Tifton to Douglas for my Appointment with Rose. I would rather drive that distance than find anyone else in Tifton. Rose is the best dr around. She is so caring and understanding and will do anything she can to make you feel comfortable and treat your problems with so much care. The staff is so nice and friendly and make you feel at home. I have only been to a gynecologist once before my last visit with Mrs luster!! I highly recommend this place!! Bedside manner was on point and I will not be going any where else. One stop shop and very convenient!! I got my labs , some info on there diet center, and a untrasound and a mammogram and the staff is on point as well!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This service is number 10 and over, everyone that works there makes your visit the best ever. I started out with Ms Rose way back in the day when she was with Dr Dorminy in Tifton, love this lady and I will be under her care as long as she works.
Kara and her team at the Decatur Howard Center are incredible! From the moment you walk in, everyone is super friendly and makes you feel like you’re walking in the doors of a friend’s house. The doctors and staff really take their time, explaining everything and making sure you understand all your options. You can tell they genuinely care. I couldn’t recommend Kara, her team, and this location enough!

Coming into the office I was impressed with the decor, the waiting room is very cozy and accommodating. They also offer refreshments. I was greeted with a smile and promptly checked in. Every step of the appointment was professional and everything was explained thoroughly. I really liked that I was able to ask questions and get clear feedback on what was best for me. It’s important to feel heard by your doctors/nurses/care technicians and this first visit was an indication that I am in great hands.
It was truly an amazing experience! The staff was nice, the atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming, and the procedure was painless!
Experienced, patient and wonderful bedside manner... she KNOWS her stuff and very accommodating with answering questions, etc... Great person, would recommend her to my family!
