Dr Raju is the most caring and compassionate doctor I have EVER visited. He did my hysterectomy a few weeks ago and he was knowledgeable in sharing the procedure to be done way before and on the date of surgery. I felt very comforShow moretable going through with this surgery as he made me feel so comfortable to do this based on his time and patience he had explaining this to me. He is an awesome and very kind doctor. I wish there were a million starts to give Dr Raju. You are blessed Dr Raju may you continue to do what God called you to do. This was His purpose for you. Dr. Raju is amazing. The nurse was wonderful. However on Thursday, October 12 the receptionist in the Venice office was rude to me. She couldn't input my credit card, trying 4X and read all of credit card numbers aloud, including Show morethe expiration code and the security numbers. Then, she said loudly it's, "American Express"! When I asked her to stop, she laughed at me and continued. Then, she asked me if I still lived at my same address, still had the same phone number, still had the same insurance which would be acceptable had it not been for the fact that I had just been there a week before. I felt harassed by the receptionist. But Dr. Raju is fantastic‼️
Rubin Raju, MBBS, MD, MS, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at Sarasota OB/GYN Associates in Bradenton and Venice, Florida. He specializes in women’s pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery.
Originally from Lilongwe, Malawi, Dr. Raju attended medical school at Maulana Azad Medical College and trained at Lok Nayak Hospital in New Delhi, India. After graduating in 2010, he worked as a clinical observer in obstetrics and gynecology at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and Whittington Hospital in London, England.
Dr. Raju completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Michigan State University’s Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. Beginning in 2016, he worked as a community obstetrics and gynecology provider with the Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing, Minnesota. Dr. Raju has also served as an obstetrician and gynecologist with the United States Army Reserve since 2016.
Dr. Raju returned to school in 2019, completing his master’s degree in biomedical sciences and his fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstruction at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, Minnesota. He is now an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the school.
Dr. Raju is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a member of the Maulana Azad Medical College Old Student Association.
