Dr. Salvador and his assistant were exceptional. I liked how Dr. Sandoval explained every step in detail and his assistant was caring and gentle. A recommendation for the front office staff. When booking an appointment through Show morethe phone, please tell the patient they will need a mask prior to entering the lobby. When I checked in, the front office clerk was polite. She saw I did not have a mask and did not say anything. As I was filling out my check in paper work, the employee in the blue scrubs, called for me, “Sir” in an authoritative voice. I looked about the lobby, and realized she was taking to me. When we made Eye contact, she said, “ you need a mask”, to which I said I didn’t know I needed one. She responded, “it’s posted on the entrance” and proceeded to say, “if you don’t have one, we are going to have to reschedule”. I responded, “you should tell the patients the requirements when booking on the phone”. I retrieved a mask from my car and returned to the lobby. A message to the staff in the blue scrubs. It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it. You get more with honey than with vinegar. She needs bed side manor and customer service training.
The visit was good but a follow up call to the office in La Quinta for clarification was unpleasant and frustrating. The office staff are unprofessional and don’t appear to enjoy their job. From the moment I said why I was callingShow more, a sigh of disgust can be heard. That was followed by resistance to assist. I was transferred to someone else and explained again why I was calling and they hung up on me. A had to call again and ask for the office manager who listed and said she would be frustrated too if she were in my shoes. If someone doesn’t enjoy what they’re doing they should look for different employment. Makes me wonder how many others get the same treatment but because of hesitation keep quiet. Very unprofessional.
Ryan Salvador, MD, is an experienced otolaryngologist at Desert Cities Allergy & Otolaryngology, with two locations in Rancho Mirage and La Quinta, California. Dr. Salvador joined the team at Desert Cities Allergy & Otolaryngology in 2015.
Dr. Salvador received his Bachelor of Arts in neurobiology from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and attended the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. While there, he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and took part in medical mission work in the Dominican Republic before graduating magna cum laude. He completed his residency training at the University of Chicago Medical Center in Illinois, where he gained proficiency in the breadth of general otolaryngology.

I’ve been to this office a couple times for my 12 year old daughter and Dr. Salvador has been such a blessing. He listened to my concerns as a mother and more importantly, listened to my daughter as a patient. He walks her through all of the exams, procedures, and after patient care in a way that she can fully comprehend.
Dr. Salvador is very quick and efficient.
Doctor was polite and gentle examining and cleaning my ear that had a infection . Gave me medication prior that helped with the extraction of wax buildup. Doctor has a good personality as well.

I was referred to Dr. Salvador’s office thru my PCP to deal with my hearing issues. I was very pleased with my appointment. He is very knowledgeable and wants to get to the bottom of my issues. He has excellent communication skills and takes the time to make sure you understand what your issues are and could be. More visits to come.

I very much appreciated Dr. Salvador's professionalism and attention to detail. Also his desire to ensure that his patience get the care that is needed.
Dr. Salvador is a very competent and thorough specialist. He would be the only person in the Coachella Valley that I would see if I had an issue. This valley has a physician shortage, as it takes a long time to get an appointment if you have an issue with his office or any office here. If it can wait, he is the doctor to go to.
