We love Dr.Sami! He treats both my husband and I with mutual respect while discussing our sons course of treatment, I never feel pressured or uncomfortable while discussing my sons medical care with him. He makes sure that we fullShow morey understand all of our options. Our son absolutely loves him as well! He is very gentle and engaged while he is examining him during his appointments. The ONLY thing I would change about this office (not Dr.Sami) is that the rest of the medical team treats parents with the same kindness and understanding that Dr.Sami does. The staff that Ive engaged with seem to forget that there are scared and nervous parents on the other end of the phone or sitting in the waiting room that need to hear empathy in the voice of the face of the office. There have been numerous times that we have not been treated with the kindness and understanding you receive while actually engaging with Dr. Sami. I have reached out to the office manager and those instances we addressed but over all there is still the same vibe that your child's care doesn’t matter to the staff at the front desk and they are just doing their job. Which is unfortunate because Dr. Sami gives 5 star care every time we have engaged with him, we’ve yet to have a bad experience, however if i were rating the office overall it would not be as high of a rating.

Every Dr. in the practice is so kind and gentle! They speak to the child and the parent involving both in the drs visit which is so important! They are always as quick as can be! We have never waited there for more than a few minutes and never been waiting in the office for more than an hour even when waiting for test results! We just adore the front office staff as well! It’s rare to find a drs office with such happy front office staff and doctors, but here you get it all! They have male and female doctors and everyone there is highly trained! They always get us in the SAME DAY when there is an emergency or someone is sick! We love Lapeer Pediatrics! Check them out!!

Dr. Al-Harastani is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He attended medical school at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine. He completed his pediatrics training through Michigan State University at the Children's Hospital of Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. As part of his internship and residency, he delivered ongoing care to patients at Children's Hospital at Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
Today, Dr. Al-Harastani offers the same exceptional care to children and adolescents in the Lapeer area. Dr. Sami Harastani is very efficient and on top of things. The staff is another concern, they talk way way too much between each other and keep patients waiting way way too long in the rooms!

I love this place when we come, very quick and efficient and super nice office staff.
Dr Sammie is always amazing with both of my kids! He always listens to any concerns I have and never makes me feel like I am an overprotective neurotic mother.
We have been with Lapeer Pediatrics for over 15 years and absolutely love Dr. Haiastani and Dr. Sami. The staff is always very nice and helpful, always willing to answer any and all questions. If we need to get in same day due to illness, we always get in!

Dr. Jennifer is awesome! She listened to all our concerns with our son’s knee injury. She kept us well informed and make him feel comfortable sharing his thoughts! ❤️
She was actually listening to me and my concerns. We saw 2 other doctors that misdiagnosed my son but, she finally checked him out correctly and diagnosed him with a severe sinus infection. She got him on antibiotics and he's already feeling better.

As always, medical care was excellent. Love the Dr and the staff. My only request is to take the statement of “Covid vaccines available for 6 months and above” off of your website. Or when a pt calls in to make a Covid/flu vaccine appointment, to inform them at that time Covid vaccines must be done at the department of health office. That would have saved us an inconvenient trip to the doctors office. My daughter was also given a booster HPV vaccine because the Dr saw she had it done at her well check this year and was now due for her second round. Unfortunately I was not at this visit, as I would have informed him that the records were incorrect. She did not get the HPV vaccine at that time, it was simply talked about and the decision was made to not get this vaccine for a few more years. I am now concerned about the medical misinformation/error in her chart.
Always a great appointment. Dr. Sami always takes time to answer any questions I have and as a first time mom I have a lot. I feel my child is well cared for when we have to go to the doctors.
