Dr. Chexal was raised in Boca Raton, Florida. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in microbiology and chemistry at the University of Florida in only three years. She then moved to New York, where she completed her medical school training at the New York Medical College.
Following her medical school education, she pursued her residency training at the University of South Florida, and received the honor of serving as chief resident during her time there. After her residency, she received retinal fellowship training at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Stein Eye Institute.

New patient. I had a good experience with the Dr. She explained things in the way I could understand. She explained next steps and if this then that outcomes. The intake person. Female older lady. Asked questions, typed in computer. Later asked same question. Also added to the notes I had surgery that I didn't have. Had to ask her to read notes back to me and asked that she delete what I did NOT tell her, she added her own notes. That turned into an argument. I felt she has a touch of dementia going on. Again, the remaining parts of the visit was positive.

Very thorough, inspires confidence. I receive eye injections and she has the gentle touch using what I feel is the best numbing solution. I am also pleased with the results controlling wet macular degeneration. I am pleased with the care I receive.
