We live off-grid 3.25 hrs from Missoula and 1.25 hrs from Helena. As Dr. Guess is at the Helena location every 6 weeks we save 4 hours each appointment.. Scott Guess, MD, is a highly skilled ophthalmologist and retina specialist at Rocky Mountain Eye Center. He works with patients at the Missoula and Hamilton, Montana, locations - primarily practicing in the Missoula location.
Dr. Guess majored in biology and minored in chemistry at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, and earned his medical degree from the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He completed an internship at the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle before moving on to the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center’s Dean McGee Eye Institute, where he completed a residency in ophthalmology and a fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery.
In his practice, he specializes in vitreoretinal surgery, cataract surgery, and the treatment of macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.

I had cataract surgery at The Rocky Mountain Eye Center on December 11, 2023 with Dr Guess. The staff was excellent and my surgery was a complete success without any complications what so ever!! Dr Guess is an absolutely top tier surgeon and I am grateful for his abilities to correct my eyesight.
