Board-certified urogynecologist Shazia Malik, MD, is an accomplished specialist serving patients at Valley Urogynecology Associates in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Malik is the only female surgeon in the area with double-board certification in gynecology and urogynecology, as well as fellowship training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
Dr. Malik specializes in the treatment of moderate and severe pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, and genitourinary fistulas. She offers both conservative treatment options and specialized surgical approaches like robotic surgery and sacral neuromodulation.
After graduating high school, Dr. Malik entered the prestigious combination BA/MD program at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine in Kansas City. She completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Malik then went to the Nezhat Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia, for her minimally invasive gynecologic surgery fellowship. She completed an additional fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
Along with seeing patients at Valley Urogynecology Associates, Dr. Malik is the Director of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. She teaches surgical and clinical techniques and provides other valuable guidance to resident physicians at both Banner Good Samaritan Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Dr Malik is very personable and has a caring manner. She does speak fast so have to really concentrate on her message. I wish her wait times in lobby wouldn't be so long. However, that is not a reason for me to stop going to her. I've already recommended her to some of my friends.
