About Steven Davidoff, MD, FCCP

Steven Davidoff, MD, FCCP, is a highly respected, board-certified pulmonologist and critical care specialist at Southwest Pulmonary Associates in Plano, Texas. With nearly two decades of clinical experience and a strong commitment to medical leadership, he provides expert care for patients with complex respiratory conditions while helping shape the future of healthcare delivery in North Texas.

Dr. Davidoff earned his Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University in 1997 and completed his Doctor of Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine in 2002. He continued at Tulane for his internal medicine residency, finishing in 2005, before completing his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in 2008. In 2019, he earned recognition as a Certified Physician Executive, further solidifying his role as a physician-leader.

Dr. Davidoff is board-certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He currently serves as the Medical Director of the Intensivist Program at Texas Health Resources Plano and as Chief Medical Officer of LifeCare Hospital in Plano. He is also the former president of the medical staff at Texas Health Plano and has been a dedicated member of its medical board since 2013.

At the system level, Dr. Davidoff has contributed to strategic initiatives through the Physician Leadership Council and the Physician Leadership Policy Council, guiding policy across 17 hospitals. His deep involvement in credentialing, quality, and performance improvement underscores his dedication to excellence in patient care and institutional leadership.
