I've been coming to K Street Dental for several years now and have always been very happy with the dental care, communication, and level of service. The office and medical staff are warm, efficient, and excellent at what they do. Show moreIn general, appointments are on time. On the rare occasions I've had to wait, staff has been apologetic, and once gave me a gift certificate for the inconvenience. On the few occasions, I've always, in hindsight, been happy with recommendations for procedures, etc., based on the facts presented to me; I've never felt taken advantage of or sold things I didn't really need.
Dr. Maur was extremely friendly and helpful in answering my questions, as always! I also REALLY appreciated her (and the hygienist’s) willingness to wear KN95 masks per my request. Their recognition of the ongoing dangers of COVIDShow more-19 and commitment to patient safety matters even more than the quality dental care. Of course, I would welcome further COVID safety precautions, such as N95 masks by providers, HEPA filters in waiting rooms, and masks in the waiting area.
Sumeen Maur, DMD, provides gentle yet effective dentistry services to patients at K Street Dental & Orthodontic Group in Washington, D.C. As a member of the highly-skilled team of providers, Dr. Maur is committed to helping each patient achieve their optimal oral health.
Dr. Maur grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, where she attended Furman University, obtaining her undergraduate degree in economics. During her time there, Dr. Maur was introduced to the field of dentistry while volunteering at a free dental clinic. She then chose to shadow local dentists in order to discover more about the basics of dentistry and the importance of the patient-doctor relationship.
Her interest in dentistry led Dr. Maur to enroll at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine. After completing her studies, Dr. Maur attended the University of Florida in St. Petersburg for further training and earned certification for Advanced Education in General Dentistry.
In her free time, Dr. Maur enjoys reading, hanging out with family and friends, and exploring all that D.C. has to offer. She also enjoys traveling when she gets the chance.

I suffer from “dentist anxiety”-the team at K Street is very patient with me.
