I was sick for about a week, I made an appointment and was able to see the nurse practitioner. She made sure the medication I received did not interact with my other medications that I am taking, in the past my cough doesn’t get bShow moreetter unless I take something with codeine. She told me that I couldn’t take codeine due to other medications. She gave me something else for my cough with one does I was able to sleep a lot better than I have been due to my coughing. I recently started seeing the doctor said this office and I am totally happy with their service, I give them five stars all the way
I feel so lucky to have Rena Kalter as my primary care provider. She is a caring, attentive and knowledgeable. I’ve been to numerous doctors of different specialities and she is by far the BEST! I’ve had so many unexplained symptoShow morems that greatly interfered with my quality of life for over a decade. Most doctors didn’t take the time to listen or dismissed my pain/symptoms. Rena was the only provider who listened and ordered right tests that led to my current diagnosis. Since my diagnosis I’ve improved so much because it’s being treated appropriately. She respects and appreciates the knowledge I have about my conditions. Rena Kalter is one in a million!
About Surin
From the time she was in nursing school, Surin Rodino, ANP-C knew that she didn’t just want to be a nurse, she wanted to be a great nurse. What might have seemed like a lofty goal at the time has shaped Surin into the deeply caring and compassionate nurse she is today. Now she serves as a board-certified adult nurse practitioner at Prima Medicine with two offices in the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area: Fairfax and South Riding, Virginia.
Surin’s areas of special interest include internal medicine and women’s health. She began her nursing career as an undergraduate student at Columbia University School of Nursing in New York City, where Surin earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing, graduating with honors. She stayed on at Columbia University School of Nursing to complete her master’s degree in nursing.
Surin is fluent in English and Korean. When she isn’t in the office helping her patients feel better, Surin enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and seeking serenity.

To me, the quality that separates "good" from "best" medical providers is that the "best" --like Surin Rodino-- fully listens to my concern before replying with a quality treatment plan. So, when asked, "Who gets your medical report," I happily say, "Fax to Prima Medicine, attention: Surin Rodino!" She's just special, one who understands bodily functions from head to toe. Interestingly, my pharmacy just called to pick up Surin's prescription. I leave readers with this thought: Hippocrates---considered the Father of modern medicine---said: "Wherever the art of Medicine is loved, there is love of humanity." This pretty much sums up my experience with Prima Medicine, in general; and Surin Rodino, in particular.
