About Tammy Treadway, FNP-BC, MPH, MSN-Ed, RN

Tammy Treadway is a native of Virginia, growing up in Arlington, earning undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees at Marymount University, as well, a Master of Public Health at George Washington University. Experience includes inpatient and outpatient care settings as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care and Family Medicine, Bariatric Medicine, Palliative and Hospice Care in Virginia, and preceding this practice, as a Registered Nurse in Critical Care, Medical/Surgical in the greater Washington Metropolitan area and throughout the Pacific Northwest; and Oncology, Infectious Disease, Stem Cell Transplant, and Clinical Research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Additionally, holding a Master of Science in Nursing, Education, and has been Adjunct Faculty and a Visiting Professor at several local universities. She embraces the educator role and ideology that knowledge is power and regards being a part of the solution and associated measured success as a priority. Emphasis is placed on creating SMART goals, professionally and personally, currently working toward a PhD in Nursing and certifications in Psychiatric Mental Health and Lifestyle Medicine, with an interest in learning new languages, presently studying Spanish and American Sign Language.


Board certified in Family Medicine, her practice focuses on the holistic approach, health and wellness promotion, and role within the interdisciplinary team, all leading to positive outcomes for the whole individual, whole support system, and whole community.


Outside of the professional environment, NP Treadway maintains work/life balance and implements self-care routinely as an avid volunteer, outdoor enthusiast, social networker and by maintaining a personal training schedule.
