About Tammy Walker, MSW, LCSW

Psychology has been a passion of mine since high school. I attended Governors State University where I achieved my Master’s in Social Work. The majority of my training during graduate school focused on an underserved population with mental illness and psychological disorders that required a higher level of care.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with experience and dedication. Currently licensed in the state of Illinois, I am expanding my reach to make a positive impact in more communities. 

Through these experiences, I have gained a deep appreciation for the challenges clients face in treatment and recovery. Mental illness has an incredible impact on family, social environments, and labor. I work to identify areas of concern, create a treatment plan, and aid to reduce symptoms.

I utilize motivational interviewing and a faith-based, goal-oriented approach to meet clients where they are in their journey. I am able to partner with them to help the process of healing within to reach their full potential. I specialize in: depression, anxiety, self esteem issues, coping skills , anger management/ court orders, and empowerment to help people heal inside and restore balance to your life.

My goal is to restore you to a comfortable level of functioning. My passion is helping people/ couples cultivate their best lives by assisting them in healing mentally, physically, and emotionally through regular self-care and mindfulness meditation. Together we can uncover and discover the true you and work toward being balanced and whole.
