I didn’t like the way I was treated on my visit on 3/8/2022. I was called to have my vitals checked in n the MA was called out n came back asked me to check with front desk again who nicely asked me for my Ins. Card. Then said I hShow moreave to pay the co-pay. Then the Office mgn came n said that Dr is waiting for me so I said ok then she said rudely , u can’t see the Dr while you are on the phone. I said am talking to the Ins co per request of the front desk n I will hang up, then she says he is with another patient. Also she said I can’t see the Dr, as I have to pay for co pay before seeing him. I told her I can pay after seeing the Dr, also said per my Ins. I am have no copay. Anyway I paid n had to wait for 45 minutes or more to see the Dr & my visit with him lasted only 10 minutes. I could have seen him earlier only if I was not stopped. Very sad for been treated so badly. Then after seeing the Dr went to make the next appt n I was asked for my husband’s copay for his visit. I told the lady I will pay on Austin’s next visit. Then when I came out to the receptionist area, I was asked again about my husband’s copay by the receptionist. I came home very sad as my husband n I have great regards for Dr Segu n we like him. Unfortunately was treated badly by the staff.
Venkatesh Segu, MD, FACE, ECNU, has over 19 years of clinical experience in endocrinology, diabetes, and internal medicine. He sees patients at Capital Endocrine & Diabetes in Cedar Park, Texas. After practicing in Texas, Indiana, and Utah, Dr. Segu founded Capital Endocrine & Diabetes in 2011 with the intent of providing dedicated, personalized medical services to his patients.
Dr. Segu completed his research fellowship at Pacific Northwest Research Institute, senior endocrine fellowship at University of Washington Medical School, and endocrine fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. He holds thyroid ultrasound and biopsy certifications from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology.
He has been formally trained in both the United States and India and has actively contributed to a variety of research publications. Dr. Segu is passionate about dedicating time to patients so they can get the best medical care possible.
Dr. Segu lives with his wife in Austin, Texas, and has a son, daughter, puppy, and parrot. He also enjoys watching basketball, football, and tennis.
